WSJT Set Up

I know some are having trouble setting up WSJT-X with HRD 6.9 but it is rather simple.  Here is what I did.

Also, if you set it to auto-log log it will log directly when you make a contact.  If you click for it to notify you first, a box will pop up that you have to click to log the contact.

│ HRD Logbook│  ← Logs QSOs via UDP-9 (127.0.0.1:2333)

└────────────┘

Test Checklist

  • HRD Alert shows decodes within 10–15 seconds after WSJT-X starts.
  • When you log a QSO in WSJT-X, it appears in HRD Logbook instantly.
  • No crashes, no freezes, no duplicate entries.

If you want to add Grid Tracker or similar software, just use the same multicast address 224.0.0.1 and the appropriate port number 2237.  All should work well with HRD 6.9 with no problem.  Make certain the wsjtx setting is set to Ham Radio Deluxe, not your radio.  Also, make certain that if you have more than one radio on HRD, the radio you are using with WSJT is set as the selected radio in HRD.
